The Relaxed Eating Programme was created by Sue Wilson in 2007, following 18 months of research into hundreds of diets, healthy eating regimes, lifestyles and interviews with people who had lost weight and, most importantly, had kept it off. The programme is continually updated and improved following the latest scientific studies published across the world and is ‘tweaked’ weekly as we continually update and improve it Our clients can distinguish between physical hunger, an emotional drive or habit For each element (hunger, emotion and habit,) we’ve created easy to follow guidelines to help you get off the weight loss merry-go-round and begin to really enjoy your food, without overeating, obsessing about it or feeling guilty about what you’re eating... and as one of our clients you’ll eat whatever you want to eat, whenever you’re physically hungry Research has proven time and again that the people who lose weight and keep it off are those who change their habits rather than those restricting the foods they eat; in fact, if you look around you at ‘naturally thin’ people, you’ll find that they don’t think about food in the same way an overweight person does....they eat when they are hungry and stop when they’re full You can do that too... we can teach you to become aware again of how full or empty your stomach really is, to tell the difference between what is physical and what is emotional hunger, to know when and how to stop eating before you get uncomfortably full and how to find other ways to deal with your emotions, aside from eating Who is it suitable for? The Relaxed Eating Programme is particularly suitable for people who have recently had life changes and have become less active. It works incredibly well for women who have recently given birth, following an accident or a physical disability, after work changes or through redundancy or retirement...essentially for anyone who has recently put on weight due to changing habits and lifestyle. It’s a healthy way to shift pounds but it’s not a diet....because DIETS DON’T WORK! How does it work? Physical hunger is something most people don’t even allow themselves to feel anymore but find themselves eating because it’s a particular time of day or because they’re feeling a bit fed up, bored, or just because that’s what they usually do, or what others are doing We’re going to teach you how to get in touch with your stomach for the first time in years, and to deal with your emotions in a different way, just as comforting and rewarding but without using food, and to notice and change bad habits wherever they appear in your life We use a combination of Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and common sense to look at your eating and shed 100 calories here and 200 calories there...small changes that build up into steady, healthy weight loss And because we teach you the techniques, you can use them for the rest of your life, regardless of where you are and how stressful your life becomes. Our clients lose and maintain weight on holiday and over Christmas and still enjoy their food, without feeling overstuffed or guilty. Session Outlines The programme consists of 4 sessions at weekly intervals, held at our clinic in the centre of Bedford and is divided into the following sessions; 1. REP guidelines - how to tell the difference between physical and emotional hunger 2. Behavioural Changes to supercharge weight loss 3. Building exercise into your life, without it feeling like exercise 4. Healthy food choices; caretaking without dieting What are the side effects? Aside from losing between 1 and 3 pounds per week, you can expect a real boost in your self-confidence and many of our clients see a knock-on affect into other areas of their life from personal relationships to their workplace....from feeling happier, sexier, more relaxed around food to being more assertive, less likely to fade into the background and more fun to be with Combining Therapies The Relaxed Eating Programme is the backbone of our weight loss therapies and so, for most clients we’ll combine two of our weight loss therapies; most commonly REP + Hypno Slim Band and REP + Pure Hypno Analysis. The REP CD to support the Relaxed Eating Programme and keep you focused (not used when combined with Pure Hypno Analysis) 2.
